Grupo Bimbo and Its Commitment to the Environment

Every March 26th marks World Climate Day, a crucial date to reflect on the impact our actions have on the planet and the future of coming generations.

In this context, Grupo Bimbo reinforces its commitment to sustainability and the fight against climate change, reaching a significant milestone in its regenerative agriculture program: 170,000 hectares cultivated under these sustainable practices in Mexico, the United States, Canada, and France. This achievement surpasses their initial goal and demonstrates that progress toward a more responsible global food system is possible.

Regenerative agriculture is one of the key strategies in combating climate change, as it improves soil health, captures carbon, and optimizes water use. Through this program, Grupo Bimbo is reducing soil erosion, strengthening biodiversity, and supporting farming communities to adopt these innovative practices.

The impact of these efforts is tangible and goes beyond the numbers, as Grupo Bimbo aims not only to regenerate soils but also to ensure a more sustainable future for the next generations of Bimbo Global Runners.

Their goal for 2050 is to have 100% of their key ingredients sourced from lands farmed with regenerative agriculture practices, reaffirming their commitment to the environment and social well-being.
